PTE Core vs PTE Academic in Canada
Canadian universities accept PTE Academic for admissions, but IRCC requires PTE Core for Express Entry, study permits, and other immigration pathways. Some graduate programs at U of T, McGill, and Western do not accept PTE Academic; check each university for details.

UK universities use band or level systems
Unlike Australian or Canadian universities with a single PTE minimum, UK universities assign each program to a band or level with different score thresholds. The scores shown above are the lowest entry band at each university. Many programs (especially Law, Medicine, and Arts) require higher scores. Always check your specific program page. Note: some UK universities (e.g. Edinburgh) have stopped accepting PTE Academic entirely.
