About
We built the PTE tool we wished existed.
PTE Mocks exists for one kind of person: the retaker who has already sat the exam, missed their target by a few points, and has no idea why. The market is full of question banks that hand you a score and leave you to guess. We thought that was backwards.
Our principle: show the working
A score prediction is only useful if you can trust it, and you can only trust a number if you can see how it was made. So we show ours. Our diagnostic samples your performance across all four skills and benchmarks it against thousands of attempts whose real PTE outcomes we know. We tell you what's driving your predicted score, and it sharpens as you practise. We do not claim to be the official Pearson score — we help you understand it and prepare for it.
Built for the current exam
PTE Academic was overhauled on 7 August 2025 — 22 task types, two new speaking tasks, and per-skill migration cut scores. Everything here is built for that current format and updated when the rules change. You can see the verified numbers on our PTE score chart.
Why we're here: a fair shot for everyone
A single official Pearson scored practice test costs around $40, and only a handful exist. For someone re-sitting the PTE to migrate, qualify as a nurse or engineer, or get into university, that adds up fast — and a raw number still doesn't tell you what to fix. We don't think a fair shot at the exam should be gated behind that. Our mission is to democratise PTE preparation: genuinely free full mocks, section tests and a 220-question bank for everyone, with honest 10–90 scoring — so the people who need the score most aren't priced out of being ready for it.
How we build our mock tests
Everything you practise here is modelled on the official PTE Academic format and the public Pearson Score Guide — the same three-part structure, the same 22 task types, the same integrated scoring and negative-marking rules. We don't reuse real exam questions (no one legitimately can); we author original, exam-faithful content to the published blueprint and validate every test before it ships. Three systems sit behind the platform:
- The content engine writes original questions to each task type's blueprint, calibrated for difficulty — easy, medium and hard — with multi-voice audio in varied accents for the listening and speaking tasks.
- The test engine assembles fixed, full-length mocks and section tests, and powers the adaptive 10-minute diagnostic that estimates your level. The real PTE is a fixed linear form, so our mocks are too — only the diagnostic adapts.
- The analysis engine scores speaking and writing on the dimensions the automated markers use — fluency, pronunciation, content, grammar and form — turns it into a transparent 10–90 prediction, and builds the dated study plan that tells you exactly what to drill next.
We're deliberately open about how this works without publishing the recipe — enough for you to trust the number, not enough to copy.
What we believe
- Diagnosis beats volume. Knowing the three things capping you is worth more than a thousand more questions.
- Transparency builds trust. No black boxes.
- Deadlines are real. We build around your exam date, not an endless content treadmill.
